"Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you. Thinking of you this holiday season." -T.A. Barron To view full newsletter click here. Hey everyone! I am thinking of you all and hope you, your family and your friends enjoy a wonderful Christmas and beautiful, relaxed (I think of quietness, stillness, doing nothing, or just doing what you feel you want to do), maybe reflective, or even inspired last days of 2013! I look forward to seeing you all in 2014! Peace and love, and always remember, YOU MATTER, Susan Class UpdatesAfter the rush of the holiday season, you will find me on vacation for the whole month of January! I know, I can't believe it either!!
You know I have you in the forefront of my mind and want you well taken care of while I'm away. That is why I've arranged to have my very capable and wonderful fellow yoga teachers, Nan Aton and Regan Wright covering for me. Nan will guide the classes at Val Vista Village and Regan will be at Mesa Community College. Charlene has graciously agreed to take care of selling passes and classes at Val Vista Village. Believe me, you are in good hands with these lovely ladies! Mesa Community College spring semester registration is now open! The college is narrowing class choices due to low enrollment so please register and pay for your classes as soon as possible so your favorite and required classes are not cancelled. I will be teaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 AM - Gentle/Restorative, at the Dobson campus, and at 4:30 PM - Basics, at the Red Mountain campus. My Wednesday evening class at 6:30, Red Mountain campus, is also on the schedule. Val Vista Village classes meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 to 10 AM upstairs in the main building, Vista North and South rooms. No registration is required. Please bring your own yoga mat.

With the holiday season comes frazzled nerves. We add more to our already over-burdened schedules in our attempt to make the season perfect. "More" is often 100% more than we already have to do. Now is the time to place both feet on the floor, sit tall in your seat, relax your shoulders and jaw, relax your shoulders and jaw again, close your eyes, take a few breaths and relax. Stop trying to do so much. Do what you can with what you have where you are. And, if you must do more, ask for help. Happy holidays everyone and Merry Christmas!
